We are excited to add a Regional Sales Manager to our team. This person will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and executing sales strategies the region including Eastern Canada, Northeastern US, and some markets in the Upper Midwest US to achieve prescribed revenue goals.
We are excited to add a Regional Sales Manager to our team. This person will be responsible for analyzing, developing, and executing sales strategies the region including Eastern Canada, Northeastern US, and some markets in the Upper Midwest US to achieve prescribed revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the selling capabilities within an assigned geographic region. Monitors and maintains sales goals.
- Develops short and long-term regional forecasts, strategies, and go to market tactics to achieve sales objectives.
- Maintains and grows existing accounts through the requisite degree of contact.
- Drives regional growth by soliciting and cultivating new account prospects.
- Galvanizes account relationships and consummates transactions on behalf of assigned regional and national customers.
- Maintains contact with existing customer decision makers to ensure Franklin Electric products are originally specified, and once specified - remain specified.
- Works with the Franklin Electric marketing team to ensure traditional collateral material and Franklin’s digital presence meets the market requirements.
- Coordinates and attends both national and regional tradeshows, and various relevant seminars.
- Conducts price negotiations and negotiates purchase contracts.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Writes routine reports and correspondence.
- Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work.
- Understands arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, business management, marketing, engineering technology, or a related field (required).
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience in sales, product management, or a related field (required).
