Manager, Training Solutions

What I do at Franklin Electric

I thrive on transforming ideas into compelling narratives and creating structure in complex environments. My passion for storytelling and organization began in childhood—filling notebooks with mythological creatures, exchanging creative emails with friends, and blogging through college. Writing, exploring new communication channels, and engaging audiences have always brought me joy.

Today, I serve as the Training Solutions Manager at Franklin Electric, a global leader in systems and technologies for moving water and energy. In this role, I lead U.S. and Canadian customer-facing training initiatives, partnering with business units to identify audience and product learning needs. My team designs training programs and content intended to drive sales, enhance customer retention, and improve satisfaction. I’ve been with Franklin Electric for over eight years.

Why Franklin Electric

First, Franklin Electric is growing quickly. Be a part of a large, global corporation while (if you're located at Headquarters) taking advantage of living in an affordable, friendly, up & coming small city.

Second, although growing quickly, our company has humble roots. Founded in 1944 in Bluffton, Indiana by two electrical engineers, E.J. (Ed) Schaefer and T.W. (Wayne) Kehoe, Franklin is still renowned for engineering the world's first reliable submersible electric motor for water systems. Our core values also remain--a key focus on customer support and delivering on our Key Factors for Success.

Third, Franklin Electric is responsible. For 2025, Franklin Electric was named to Newsweek's America's Greenest Companies list. The list recognizes the top 500 companies in the USA based on environmental sustainability and the advancements these companies have made towards managing their sustainability footprint.

Last, working at Franklin Electric gives you the satisfaction of knowing you're making a difference. Moving water has always been a challenge. It’s why ancient civilizations were located near water sources. Today, much of our water infrastructure is hidden underground, invisible to the everyday life of the end user. We are working for a life-sustaining resource.

Who am I?

Before joining Franklin, I worked in marketing at Bowen Health, served as a journalist for Today’s Catholic, and managed community relations and administrative duties for BrickHouse Family Ministries.

I hold both Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Public Relations, along with multiple training-related certifications. As a committed volunteer, I serve on the board of the Central/Skyline Branch YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne, serve on the planning committee for the Association for Talent Development’s Central Indiana Chapter, and sit on the board of the Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana Foundation.
